The Lincoln Group of DC is putting on a show for the whole country, and we have a challenge for you. On May 22, 2022, in conjunction with the National Park Service and with co-sponsorship by the Lincoln Forum, the Lincoln Group is planning a spectacular event on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to celebrate its 100th anniversary. We also have several satellite events that members will not want to miss. To make this happen, we need your help.

You can read the details of the Lincoln Memorial Centennial events on our website. Here are some highlights:

· Lincoln in Washington Walking Tour by John O’Brien, 10 am, May 21st

· Co-Sponsoring AFI Silver Theatre showing of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, 2:30 pm, May 21st

· Grand Centennial with prominent speakers, musicians, and film personalities on the Lincoln Memorial steps, 10 am – 12 pm, May 22nd [Check out details here]

· Lincoln Memorial Discussion Panel, National Archives, 12-1 pm, May 23rd

And much more!

As the dates get closer, we need to raise some more funds to cover the costs – so, the Lincoln Group Board is offering a challenge.

Donors have stepped forward to commit up to $5000 in matching funds to challenge Lincoln Group members to contribute toward putting on these spectacular events.

The Centennial happens only once in, well, 100 years. So, if you’ve considered donating to the Lincoln Group of DC but haven’t yet written that check, now is the time to do so. You can also donate by PayPal or Credit Card via the “Donate” button on our website. Or send a check made out to:

The Lincoln Group of DC P.O. Box 5676 Washington, DC 20016

Thank you in advance for your support. And keep checking back on our website, Lincolnian.org, for more details about the events, stories about the speakers, background about the original dedication 100 years ago, and more.
