About the Event
The Lincoln Group returns to in-person dinner meetings! Join us as Maggiano’s Little Italy for a fantastic expanded menu, an amazing presentation, and tons and tons of free stuff (more details below). Happy hour and dinner starts at 6 p.m. Zoom link opens at 6:45 for Business meeting, presentation will start about 7 p.m.
Our speaker will be David Wiegers, a talented photographer who has traveled the world finding many variations and stages of Lincoln’s life depicted in statues in the most unexpected places. Artists have presented Lincoln as a book-loving child, a backwoods youth handy with an axe, a Midwest lawyer, a senate candidate, a war president, and the great orator of Gettysburg. In addition to photos, Dave will talk about the book and his new Lincoln Sculpture’s Project Google map, which will become a valuable resource for Lincoln travelers.
To welcome everyone back to our in-person dinner events, we’ll be giving away some great gifts to every in-person attendee. There will also be other opportunities to win even more surprises. Check out the accompanying news post for more details.
Dinner and lecture will be $40 per person. Please pay in advance by clicking on the "PrePay Here" button on the Home Page "Events," or by going to the "Join Now" button. Select from the menu either the dinner reservation or Zoom option. Zoom access will also be available at a cost of $10 per person, but to experience the full event (and get gifts) you must join us in person. And definitely save room for a great new dessert!
